Food Service Manager

Camp Cedar Glen is seeking a dedicated Food Service Manager to lead our dynamic food service team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire food service operation at designated camp sites, ensuring that every meal enhances our guests' camp and retreat experiences. From menu planning and food procurement to staff supervision and meal preparation, the Food Service Supervisor/ Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to grace, compassion, and justice through exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement nutritious, appealing menus tailored to diverse groups and dietary needs.

  • Procure high-quality food and dry goods while managing inventory.

  • Lead and train a team in the preparation and serving of family-style meals.

This hands-on role is crucial for providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all our guests and staff. Whether it's preparing meals, ensuring the cleanliness of our facilities, helping lead a program, or conducting minor repairs, your contribution will enhance the camp experience for everyone who steps foot on our grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the camp's buildings and grounds to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

  • Assist in food service tasks including dishwashing, meal prep, and kitchen clean-up.

  • Conduct minor repair work and routine maintenance to keep facilities in top condition.

  • Support the camp's commitment to sustainability through waste reduction, recycling, and efficient resource use.
